Doris Preston

Doris Preston, 87, of Vincennes, passed away at 7:35 am on Friday March 30, 2018 at BridgePointe Health Campus.She was born January 18, 1931 in Loogootee, Indiana to Alvin and Delphia (Conolty) Norris.Doris worked as a teacher's aide at Hillcrest School and at Good Samaritan Hospital in the Food Service Department. Doris was a member of the St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church and loved to play bingo.Surviving are her children, Brenda and Greg Winkler of Vincennes, John and Christy Preston of Lafayette, and William Preston of Madison; her grandchildren, Michelle and Trevor Sexton, Ty Preston, Kenna Preston, Alec Lichlyter, Alyssa Preston, and Morgan Preston; and her great grandchildren, Macy Sexton, Connor Sexton, Dylan Sexton, Lina Lichlyter, Everett Lichlyter, and Kelric Lichlyter.She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Paul Preston, whom preceded her on May 11, 2011; a son, Kenneth Preston; a daughter, Elizabeth McCrary; along with three sisters, and four brothers grandchildren.Private services were held. Goodwin Funeral Home assisted with arrangements.
