Doris Walker

Doris Imogine Walker, of Greenwood, IN and formerly of Vincennes, IN passed away Monday, June 4, 2018. She was 93 years old.Doris was a homemaker and a member of the Methodist church.Doris was born on December 30, 1924 in Petersburg, IN to parents James and Flora (Selby) Frederick. In August 1946 she married the late Dallas Walker, with whom she shared two children. Doris was preceded in death by her husband Dallas, parents James and Flora, her eight siblings Clyde, Claud, Lloyd, Olive, Myrneth, Ottis, James, and Iretha, and stepson, Dallas "Gene". Doris is survived by her children Jill Daline Silnes (Thomas) and James Roland Walker (Tirey); grandchildren Karey Morris, Kristin Keister (Derek), Kelly Silnes, Craig Walker (Karen), Saundra Barnes (Frank), Dallas Walker, and Keith Walker; numerous nieces, nephews, and great-grandchildren, including Koen Morris, Kaden Keister, and Chloe Coffman-Keister. Doris was a beloved mother and Meenaw and will be greatly missed by her friends and family.A graveside service will be held at 11 A.M. on Thursday, June 7, 2018 in section 10B10 of Memorial Park Cemetery.
