Dorothy Adams

Dorothy M. Adams, 98, passed away at 9:35 pm on March 3, 2018 at Bridge Pointe Health Campus. Dorothy was born on February 26, 1920 in Linton, IN the daughter of Herman and Alice (Burkhart) Chanley. She married James "Jim" Adams and he preceded her in death in 2001.Dorothy owned and operated her own restaurant in Petersburg and was a member of Wilson Creek Baptist Church.Survivors include her sons, Jerry Adams of Monroe City, Larry Adams of Monroe City, Ron Adams of Robinson, IL, Marv Adams of Monroe City; several grandchildren, and great grandchildren. Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents, her husband James "Jim" Adams, daughter Sharon Rose Adams, son James Robert Adams, one sister and five brothers.Friends may visit with Dorothy's family from 4-8 pm on Thursday, March 8, 2018 at Goodwin Funeral Home, 524 Broadway. Funeral services for Dorothy will be held at 10:00 am on Friday, March 9, 2018 at Goodwin Funeral Home with Pastor Kay Anson officiating. Interment will follow in Mt. Zion Cemetery in Monroe City.
