Dorothy Foss

Dorothy A. Foss, 79, of Washington, IN, formerly of Vincennes, IN, passed away March 12, 2021, at the Villages at Oak Ridge. Dorothy was an art teacher and taught in Loogootee, IN, before moving to Vincennes, teaching at both Lincoln High School and Clark Junior High. She later worked as a family counselor, and then retired from Work One. Dorothy was a member of Beit Israel. Surviving are her sons, Aaron Wood of Wheatland, IN, and Jason Wood of Shelbyville, IN; her sister, Rosalie Tewell of Hinesville, GA; her brother, Mark Foss of Pervis, MS; and her grandchildren, Grant and Alyssa Wood. Born December 29, 1941, in Lawrenceville, IL, she was the daughter of Dale Eldon and Arelia (Buchanan) Foss. Her parents preceded her. Friends may visit with Dorothy's family from 1:00 -3:00 on Tuesday, at Goodwin-Sievers Funeral Home, 524 Broadway, Vincennes, IN.
