Dorothy J. Keyes, 95, of Vincennes, passed away on Friday, April 8, at the New Willow Manor. Born May 26, 1915 in Vincennes, she was the daughter of Edward and Clarissa (Hack) Johnson. She was preceded by her parents; her husband, Dwight W. Keyes; sisters Mary Ellen Klemeyer & Eugenia Kerlin; and a brother, Paul "Bud" Johnson. Surviving is her daughter, Melissa Keyes of Madison, WI; a son, Bill (Kim) Keyes; a grandson, Michael Brankle; as well as several nieces and nephews and their families. Dorothy attended St. Mary's of Notre Dame and graduated from Saint Rose Academy, where she served as president of her senior class. She was a memnbber of Scared Heart Catholic Church, and had also been a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution and the Fortnightly Club. Dorothy had also volunteered as a Gray Lady at Good Samaritan Hospital. The family would especially like to thank the staffs at Colonial Assisted Living, the New Willow Manor, and Good Samaritan Hospital. In addition, Bill and Melissa are grateful to Jim Kerlin, Pat Klemeyer, Jeanne Fenton, Lida Kerlin, Kim Keyes, and Ingrid Rothe for the support and assistance. A graveside service wll be held on Saturday, April 16, at 2:30 p.m. at Memorial Park Cemetery. Donations may be made to either Good Samaritan Hospice or the Catholic schools of Vincennes.
