Dorothy Klumpp

Dorothy Louise Klumpp, 95, passed away on September 4, 2022, at Gentle Care Nursing Home with her family by her side. Lousie was born on December 7, 1926, in Bedford, IN and she is the daughter of Ralph L. and Gladys (Umphress) Cummings. Louise married Richard Eugene Klumpp on February 28, 1947, and he preceded her in death. Louise was a 1943 graduate of Bedford High School and lived a strong Christian Faith attending church every Sunday. She owned and operated Hudson Furniture for many years with her husband and was also the bookkeeper there until her retirement in 1986. Louise was also very active with the Pink Lady Auxiliary group through Good Samaritan Hospital where she was a lifetime member. She also was past president in 1976 and was Treasurer from 1987-1999. Louise enjoyed having breakfast and coffee with her friends. She was referred to as Weeze by all of her grandchildren and enjoyed attending all of their sporting events. Louise was also an avid Vincennes Lincoln Alice fan and was also known for making a homemade carrot cake and spaghetti for all of her family on their birthday. Louise is survived by her son, Doug Klumpp and his wife Lori of Vincennes; her grandchildren, Sean Klumpp and his wife Mia, Nick Klumpp, Cirby Klumpp, Kahlei Buitendorp and her husband Seth; her great grandchildren, Haleigh, Aria, Emily, Maxwell, Maverick, Jack, Jacob, Wyatt, Ivy Mae, and her niece Donna Blackburn and husband Larry of Bedford. Louise is preceded in death by her parents, her husband Dick Klumpp, sister, Emma Gehring and her brother, Edward Cummings. Friends and family may attend a graveside service for Louise at 11:30 am on Friday, September 9, 2022, at Memorial Park Cemetery, 919 Willow St., Vincennes, IN with Rusty Thorne officiating. Louise will be laid to rest next to her husband immediately following service. Online memories may be shared with Louise's family and friends at www.goodwinsievers.com.
