D. Maxine (Beard) Leveron Catt, 88, passed away at 7:27 p.m. on May 29, 2012 at Bridge Pointe Health Campus. Maxine was born on September 2, 1923 in Bruceville the daughter of Joe and Madie (Coonce) Beard. She married John A. Leveron and he preceded her in death on April 27, 1980. She then married Gail Catt and he preceded her in death on October 2, 2002. Maxine was a 1941 graduate of Bruceville High School and an active member of First Christian Church where she belonged to the Lydia Howe Guild and The Fun Bunch. She was a loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She retired in 1981 after many years of secretarial work for local trucking firms and the Knox County Courthouse. Survivors include her daughter-in-law, Cindy Leveron of Jefferson City, MO; step daughters, Dottie Lane and her husband, Marvis of Vincennes; Marsha Catt of Vincennes, grandchildren, Kelly Leveron, Eric Lane and his wife Linda, Tammy Catt, Ethan Lane and his wife Kim, Tracy Catt and her husband Bob Brian, Theresa Catt and her husband Barry Goodman, Marc Lane and his wife Lisa, Gail Catt and his wife Melody, Jason Lane and his wife Amy, Amy Catt and her husband Norb Brown, Jeremy Catt, great grandchildren, Autumn Cornell, Adam Lane, Audra Lane, Carrie Lane, Mallory Lane, Sydney Lane, Austin Lane, Elizabeth Lane, Catherine Lane, Sophia Lane, Isaac Lane, Amelia Lane, Alexa Claycomb, Blake Claycomb, Peyton Catt, Brandon Brian, Kayley Brian, Brooke Fitzgerald, James Hancock, Gabi Hancock, Miley Catt, nieces Venita Kirchhoff of Indianapolis, IN and Betty Cantwelll of Naples, FL. Maxine was preceded in death by her son, Mike Leveron, stepson James Catt and grandsons, John Leveron and Tyler Fitzgerald. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, June 1, 2012 at the First Christian Church, 319 Broadway St, with the Rev. Rick Grant officiating. Burial will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery. Friends may visit with the family on Friday from Noon until service time at the church. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to First Christian Church.
