Paul Vieke, 90, passed away at 1:30 pm on July 28, 2016 at his daughter's residence. Paul was born on February 28, 1926 in Vincennes the son of John and Laura (Schultz) Vieke. He married M. Maxine Cary on May 21, 1947 and she preceded him in death on January 8, 1993.Paul served his country during WW II in the United States Army and was a member of St. John Catholic Church. He had worked as a bus driver and farmer, at Blackford Window Glass, the Knox County Court House in maintenance and the US Post Office as a Postal Clerk. He loved farming and his dog Lexi.Survivors include his daughters, Gloria Mason of Vincennes, Mary Ann Bodart of Vincennes, Paula Allen of Vincennes, Brenda Hughes and her husband Dave of Vincennes; grandchildren Trish Wilson, Shelly Mason-Loffer, Paul Michael Allen, Chad Allen, Heather Keller, Brad Bodart, Holly Fuller, Amber Hughes, Aaron Hughes, Mikah Pritchard, Seth Hughes, Shayla Hughes, Caleb Hughes; great grandchildren, Ashlee Montgomery, Mason DeLisle, Jackson Fuller, Dharbi Bodart, Addi Fuller, Marli Bodart, Chase Allen, Tanner Allen, Madison Allen, Zach Allen, Jacob Allen, Sam Allen, Nathan Keller, Abby Keller, Lewis Pritchard, Elsie Pritchard, Summer Allen, Lexi Wilson, Caycee Wilson; and great great grandchildren, Jaycee Montgomery, Grannan Montgomery and Harlee Montgomery. Paul was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Maxine, daughter, Vickie Lee Vieke and son in law's Terry Mason, Mike Allen and Joe Bodart.Graveside funeral services for Paul will be conducted at 11:30 am on Saturday, July 30, 2016 at Mt. Calvary Catholic Cemetery where the All Weather Firing Squad will conduct military rites and his granddaughter Mikah Hughes will sing Amazing Grace. Burial will follow. Friends may visit with Paul's family on Saturday, July 30, 2016 from 9-11 am at Goodwin Funeral Home, 524 Broadway. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Vincennes Pet Port or Good Samaritan Hospice.
