Earl Edward Luenebrink, 63, of Monroe City, where he had lived for twenty-seven years, passed away at 1:29 p.m. on Thursday, September 14, 2011 at Good Samaritan Hospital. Born August 4, 1948, he was the son of Merle and Jo Anna (Haaff) Luenebrink.Earl retired as the owner-operator of Luenebrink Trucking. He loved to ride motorcycles, talk on the CB ,and enjoyed woodworking, camping, NASCAR, and four-wheeling with his grandkids. Earl served his country in the United States Army and was stationed in Germany. He was a member of the Vincennes Chapter of the Disabled American Veterans, Veteran of Foreign Wars, Laborers Local #561, Main Street Church of Christ in Monroe City, VET Registry, as well as a lifetime member of Boonville Steam and Gas Club.Survivors include his wife of thirty-four years, Carol (Dreiman) Luenebrink of Monroe City; sons, Bryan Blacklock and his wife, Amy, and Michael Luenebrink; three grandchildren, Kennedy, Karis and Kamryn Blacklock; mother-in-law, Wanita Dreiman; sisters, Elva Manning of Vincennes, Aline Luenebrink of Vero Beach, FL, Jackie Grayam and her husband, David of Indianapolis, Gladys Pemberton and her husband, Clifford of Sandborn, and Susie Barstow and her husband, Bruce of Sebastian, FL; several nieces and nephews; and several great-nieces and great-nephews.Preceding Earl in death were his parents; brothers, Henry, and twin, Burl; and a sister, Ruthie.Funeral services will be held Saturday, September 17 at 2:00 p.m. at Goodwin Funeral Home, 524 Broadway St. with Roger Wright officiating. Burial will follow in Mt. Zion Cemetery, where a committal service will be conducted by Don Smoot, and a military graveside service will be conducted by the American Legion - VFW All Weather Firing Squad. Friends may visit with the family on Friday from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Harrison Township Fire Department, Monroe City, IN.
