Edith Frye

Edith K. Frye, 84, passed away at 9:08 am on April 3, 2022, at her home in Vincennes. Edith was born on September 30, 1937 in Knox County and was the daughter of Samuel and Myra (Dukes) Anderson. Edith had worked for AT&T as a telephone operator for over 30 years until retiring. She was actively involved in the Telephone Pioneers, VFW Ladies Auxiliary, American Legion Auxiliary, and the Moose. She enjoyed reading and doing embroidery in her spare time. She also was a proud Lincoln High School graduate of the class of 1955. She loved going to her reunions and even scheduled her birthday activities around the reunions as to not miss the fun times she shared at the pavilion with special friends. Survivors include her son James Michael Talley (Sandra) of Vincennes, In; sister-in-law, Shirley Anderson of Merritt Island, Fl; granddaughter Kayla Lynn Wilkenson (Jared) of Vincennes, In; and great-grandchildren, Emily Wilkinson and Aubri Wilkinson. Preceding Edith in death were husbands James Gilbert Talley, Roley Reno, and William Frye; brothers, Samuel Robert Anderson and William Anderson; and sister-in-law Levenna Anderson; sister Thelma Due; brother-in-law, Gerald Due. Friends may visit with Edith's family from 11:00 am - 1:00 pm on Thursday April 7, 2022 until service time at 1:00 pm with Pastor Mike Flynn officiating at Goodwin-Sievers Funeral Home, 524 Broadway, Vincennes, In.
