Edith Guthridge

Edith Virginia Guthridge, 93, of Owensville, Indiana went to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ of Friday, December 13, 2019 at Transcendent Healthcare in Owensville. She was born in Gibson County on July 21, 1926 to the late Charles R. Chamberlain Sr. and Viola Chamberlain Sharp (Straw). Edith was a homemaker, but after the children grew up went to work as an office worker for a Chiropractic office. She went back to school to earn her GED and graduated with her daughter in 1987 at Huron Valley Continuing Education. Edith loved to quilt and cook, but her biggest hobby was her pig collection. Her entire kitchen was decorated with pigs. She was a member of Southern Baptist Church in Milford, MI. Edith was loved by so many and will be deeply missed. She is preceded in death by her parents; sisters Alma "Katie" Vogel and Betty Jean Scott; and brother Troy Chamberlain. Edith is survived by her children Beverly (Bob) Ellsworth, Jack Fetcher, Michael G. (Pamela) Fetcher SR., Darlena (Keith) Helmer, Betty Burris, and Becky (Kristopher) Guthridge-Adams; siblings Elsie Hornback, Charles Chamberlain, and Larry Dean Chamberlain; several grandchildren, great grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and friends. Holders Funeral Home is honored and privileged to be entrusted with the care of Mrs. Guthridge. Visitation will be Wednesday, December 18, 2019 at Holders Funeral Home from 10a-12p with Funeral at 12p. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Park in Evansville.
