Eldon Elmore

Eldon Lee Elmore, 77, of 10364 E. Hamline Chapel Road, Monroe City, Indiana passed away Tuesday, April 27th 2010 at his residence. He was born August 31, 1933 in Knox County, Indiana, to James Elmore.Eldon retired from Packaging Corporation after 31 years where he had served as president of the union. He was a member of the Four Square Lighthouse Church and the American Legion. He enjoyed woodworking, collecting coins, sports, and his grandchildren.Surviving is his wife; Alberta Mae Elmore of Monroe City, a daughter, Gina Louise Johnson of Vincennes, three sons, Jerry Lee Elmore and his wife, Dena, of Vincennes, Jeff Elmore and his wife, Candi, of Vincennes, and Joe Elmore and his wife, Debbie, of Vincennes, and a step daughter, Lesa Mae Yarbor and her husband, Ron, of Monroe City. Also surviving are his grandchildren, Dana Oldon, Shana Walton, Halle Risinger, Cammy Risinger, Jasmine Elmore, Alex Elmore, Holly Combs, Miranda Racey, Aryn White,Lacey White, Curstie Elmore, AJ Elmore, Michaela Elmore, and great grandchildren, Colin Nicholas Combs, Austin James Barron, Liam Walton, Cerenity Oldon, Galaxy Gott, Valcan Gott, and Quinlan Williams. Funeral services will be held 2:00 pm Friday, April 29, 2011 at Goodwin Funeral Home with Mike Daugherty and Cathy Lake officiating. Burial will follow in the Memorial Park Cemetery. Friends may visit with the family from 5-8 Thursday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the American Lung Association.
