Eldon R. Dellinger

Eldon R. Dellinger, 88, of Vincennes, passed away at 6:10 pm on Tuesday, January 7th, 2020 at Bridge Pointe Health Care Campus.He was born April 5, 1931 in Knox County, Indiana to Chester and Helen (Ice) Dellinger.Eldon enjoyed working on the family farm most of his life. He enjoyed being with family, and his favorite pastime was predicting the weather. He was a member of Hamline Chapel United Methodist Church and later in life attended Community United Methodist Church.Surviving are a sister, Mary Pahmeier of Marion, Indiana, and a brother, Dale Dellinger and his wife Letha Jane of Vincennes, and a brother-in-law, Joe Farris of Vincennes. He is also survived by his nieces and nephews, Jim Farris and his wife Karen, Julia Isom, Becky McDowell and her husband Shawn, Ed Farris, Jennifer Harker and her husband Troy, Jana Millikan and her husband Glen, Greg Dellinger and his wife Michelle, Marcy Hays and her husband Frank, along with several great nieces and nephews.He was preceded in death by his parents; a sister, Edith Farris; a brother-in-law, Kenneth Pahmeier; and a nephew, Wilbur Isom.Funeral services will be held at 10:30 am Saturday, January 11, 2020 at Community United Methodist Church, Vincennes with Rev. Ray Tromley officiating. Burial will follow in the Hamline Chapel Cemetery. Visitation will be at 9:00 am until the hour of the service on Saturday at the church.
