Eldred Cordell Jr., 65, of 1932 Washington Avenue, Vincennes, passed away at 11:18 pm Tuesday, May 16, 2017 at Good Samaritan Hospital.He was born January 23, 1952 in Pine Knot, Kentucky to Eldred and Mille (Lay) Cordell Sr.Eldred drove for Jones & Sons and enjoyed, fishing, bowling, woodworking, and especially enjoyed being around his grandchildren.Surviving are his wife, Claudie (Giddens) Cordell, whom he married November 10, 2005; his children, Victor (Marilyn) Cordell of Lakeland, FL, Rick Cordell of Winter Haven, FL, and Monique Giddens of Vincennes, IN ; his brother, Howard (Jeanette) Cordell of Herbert, MI; two sisters, Joan (Donnie) Britton of Niles, MI, and Brenda Arthur of Niles, Michigan; his special grandchild, Axl Frye; his grandchildren, Isabella Giddens, Trenton Catt, Allyson Catt, Ethan Crump, Cody Crump, Charley Crump, Ashley Tofanelli, and Caleb Cordell, along with one great grandchild, Kallie Tofanelli.He was preceded in death by his parents.A Celebration of Eldred's Life will be 2:00 pm Saturday, May 20, 2017 at Goodwin Funeral Home with Rev.
