Eleanor Dunn

Eleanor "Bobbi" Dunn, 82 of Wheatland, passed away on November 15, 2011 at St. Mary's Medical Center in Evansville, IN. Eleanor was born on May 16, 1929 in Knox County the daughter of Marion and Lena (Fowler) Overbay. She married Byron "Barney" Dunn on August 31, 1947 and he survives. Eleanor was a 1947 graduate of Wheatland High School where she was the class salutatorian. She had worked in the business office at Vincennes University, as a bookkeeper and Deputy Assessor at the Knox County Courthouse and also she worked for the Knox County Highway Department. She served as Steen Township trustee for many years and had been a member of the Democratic Central Committee since 1958. Eleanor was also a member of the Wheatland Christian Church. Survivors include husband, Byron "Barney" Dunn of Wheatland; sons, Richard Dunn and his wife Sue of Wheatland; David Dunn and his wife Star of Wheatland; grandchildren, Damon Dunn and his wife Tonya, David M. Dunn, Kasey Dunn; great grandchildren, Drake and Danica Dunn. Eleanor was preceded in death by 1 son, Tommy Dunn and 1 brother Marion Overbay, Jr. A memorial service for Eleanor will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, November 25, 2011 at Wheatland Christian Church with Pastor Brent Cramer officiating.
