Ella M. Kimmel-Bastin Boyd, 78, passed away at 10:55 a.m. on Friday, October 26, 2012 at the Lodge of the Wabash. Ella was born in Knox County on March 21, 1934 the daughter of John and Minnie M. (Dick) Kimmel. Ella retired as a Framesman with Indiana Bell and was a member of Community United Methodist Church, American Business Women's Association, American Legion Auxiliary and Telephone Pioneers. She also volunteered as a Pink Lady at Good Samaritan Hospital. Survivors include her daughters, Kim Hansford and her husband Wally of Bloomington; Kay Gauger and her husband Gilbert of Vincennes; Kristy Dale and her husband, Randy of Vincennes; sister, Norma J. Meyer of Vincennes; twin brother, Jack R. Kimmel of Indianapolis; grandchildren, Kaci Jones, Erika Gehlken, Tabitha Jones, Kaleena McCormick, Joel Dale, Laura Hansford, Aleah Adams, Katie Williams, Meaghan Gauger, great grandchildren, Dalton and Dillon Kirby, Carson and Brynn McCormick, Layla Jacobs, Lane and Cooper Adams and Cohen and Paislee Williams. Ella was preceded in death by four brothers, Joe David, Don, Max and Bill Kimmel and one sister, Francis Brown. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, October 30, 2012 at Goodwin Funeral Home, 524 Broadway with Pastor Ron Fellows and Rev. Ray Tromley officiating. Burial will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery. Friends may visit with the family on Monday from 4-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
