Ellen Abel

Ellen M. Abel, 58, of Vincennes, IN, passed away August 21, 2020, at Good Samaritan Hospital.Ellen was a graduate of Harrison Elementary School, Clark Middle School, and Lincoln High School. She had worked at Willow Manor and Hardee's. A member of the First Church of God, she enjoyed going to church, and helping at the Church on the Street, and also helping whomever she could.Watching Hallmark and Disney movies were some of her favorite activities. Ellen also liked Facebook games and Pokemon.Surviving is her husband, Jim Abel, whom she married July 5, 1986; her son, James Abel of Vincennes, IN; her sisters, Ann Snyder of Vincennes, IN, and Donna Tislow of Vincennes, IN; her brothers, Edward Roman and his wife, Diana, of Carlisle, PA, and Joe Roman and his wife, Lora, of Vincennes, IN; her father-in-law, Melvin Abel of Vincennes, IN; her sister-in-law, Amy Welte and her husband, Ben, of Fritchton, IN; her nieces and nephews, Cheyenne and Mason Welte, Laura Bowen, Cathy Scott, Nicholas Roman, Charles Wagoner, Jenni, Jacob, and Katie Roman, and Christopher Tislow.Ellen was born July 27, 1962 at Fort Belvoir, VA. Her mother, Julie (Williams) Boothe; her step-father, David Boothe; her father, Edward Roman; her mother-in-law, Sondra Abel; her niece, Dacia Roman; and her nephew, Joshua Roman, preceded her.Friends may visit with Ellen's family from 12:00 - 2:00 on Wednesday, at Goodwin-Sievers Funeral Home, 524 Broadway, Vincennes, IN.
