Ellen Sauer

Ellen L. Sauer, 90, of 412 S. 14th, Vincennes, passed away at 9:20 a.m. Saturday January 14th, 2012 at Bridgepointe Health Campus.She was born June 28, 1921 in Lacrosse, Wisconsin to Frank & Helen (Paxton) Robbins.Ellen retired from K-mart in 1983 and had also worked at Kresges. She is survived by her daughter, Nancy Mundy and her husband, George of Vincennes; three grandchildren, George Mundy III and his wife, Sue Ann of Anchorage, Alaska; Scott Mundy and his wife, Karen of Oaktown; and Brooke Robinson and her husband, Joe of Vincennes. Also surviving are her great-grandchildren, Josh and Kyle Mundy, Hunter Mundy, and Brady Allen Robinson; her step great-grandchildren, Nicole Mack and her husband Eddie, and Hunter Joe Gaines, and a step great great grandchild, Isabella Aliceann Mack.Ellen was preceded in death by her husband, Edmund Sauer, whom she married June 13, 1945 and passed away on May 2, 1982, and her parents.Funeral services will be held 11:30 a.m. Tuesday January 17, 2012 at Goodwin Funeral Home.
