Ethmer "Mite" Lawrence Pendleton, 96, formerly of Vincennes,passed away at 5:20 pm Sunday in Dallas, Georgia.He was born on April 19, 1922 in Maries County, Missouri to Anton and Elsie (Stokes) Pendleton.A World War II veteran, Ethmer was a member of the First Baptist Church in Vincennes and had worked as a meat cutter for various grocery stores and had been a route deliveryman for Wonder Bread.Surviving are a daughter, Cheri Tislow and her husband, Kyle of Dallas, GA; a sister, Jean Boyer of Linton; three grandchildren, Craig Pendleton, Krystal Benson, Keenan Tislow; along with several great grandchildren.Preceding him in death were his parents; his wife, Wanda (Abell) Pendleton, whom he married on March 20, 1954 and preceded him on December 7, 2001; a son, David Pendleton; a brother, Louis Pendleton, and two sisters, Fay Somers, and Frieda Wilkes.Funeral services will be held at 1:00 pm Friday, November 30, 2018 at Goodwin Funeral Home with Rev. Steve Anderson officiating. Burial will follow in the Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be from 11:00 am until the start of the service.
