Evelyn York

Evelyn L. York, 95, of Washington, passed away at 6:55 pm Thursday,December 19, 2019 at Eastgate Manor in Washington.She was born October 9, 1924 in Indiana to William and Cecil Pearl (Bailey)Catt.Evelyn was a homemaker who enjoyed painting, reading and watching theChicago Cubs. She also played music and enjoyed singing with her siblingswhen she was younger.Surviving are her daughters Beverly Street of Washington and Karen Yarnelland her husband Steven of Columbus, Ga. She has one surviving sister,Deanna William; along with 8 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren and 18great-great grandchildren. Evelyn will be buried in the Sugarland MemoryGardens at a later date.
