Fannie Donovan

Fannie V. Donovan, 88, passed away at 3:53 pm on July 7, 2020 at Colonial Assisted Living. Fannie was born on August 21, 1931 in Oaktown the daughter of Jasper and Olive (Whitson) Menk. She married Harold R. Donovan on June 28, 1952 and he preceded her in death on June 2, 1978.Fannie was a homemaker and loved watching IU and Vincennes Lincoln Alices basketball. She spent more than sixty years on Oak Street and loved all of her neighbors as they supported her very much. Fannie will always be remembered as a loving mother and grandmother who was kind hearted and had a beautiful smile. She will be missed dearly, but we know God has a special place for her in Heaven.Survivors include her daughter, Terry Knab and her husband Doug of Montgomery, Texas; sons, Phil Donovan and his wife Wanda of Baton Rouge, Louisiana, Karl Donovan and his wife Ann of Vincennes, Joe Donovan and his companion Kim Jacobs of Vincennes; brother, Wendell Menk of Surprise, Arizona and her grandchildren, Rachel Donovan, Terri Donovan, Alli Donovan, Jessi Donovan and Jordan Donovan. Fannie was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Harold R. Donovan, son, Jeff Donovan and her sister, Joyce Hall.Graveside services will be held at 1:00 pm on Saturday, July 11, 2020 at Memorial Park Cemetery with Pastor Trevor Murry officiating. Fannie will be laid to rest next to her husband Harold. Goodwin-Sievers Funeral Home, Vincennes is honored to assist the Donovan family with arrangements.
