Frances J. Anson, 85, of 5696 East St. Rd. 61, Vincennes, passed away at 3:40 am Saturday May 28, 2016 at her residence.She was born April 24, 1931 in Knox County to James and Nell (Reel) Rodarmel.Frances retired as a nurse for the Red Cross and was a member of the Community United Methodist Church in which she belonged to the Open Door Sunday School Class, Palmyra Township Home Economics club, and the Monday Night Prayer Group. She always enjoyed watching her grandchildren and great grandchildren participate in sports, Vacation Bible School, and Christmas Programs.She was a Monroe City High School graduate where she was a cheerleader.Surviving are her sons, Mike (Kay) Anson of Wheatland, Mark (Marilyn) Anson of Vincennes, Doug (Margie) Anson of Vincennes, and Dan (Teresa) Anson of Vincennes; one brother, Baxter Rodarmel of London, Kentucky; her grandchildren, Tom (Carah) Anson, Leigha (Ben) Singleton, Larcy (Dan) Emmert, Morgan (Ryne) Flynn, Randa McClellan, Andrew Anson, Hollie (Donnie) Eaves, Ethan Anson, and Ryan (McKenze) Anson; 16 great grandchildren; plus one more great grandchild and great great grandchild on the way.Preceding her in death were her parents; her husband, John Anson; her sisters, Pauline Leuking, Jeanette Hollander, and two brothers, Kenneth Rodarmel and Kledith Rodarmel.A Celebration of Frances's Life will be held at 10:30 am Tuesday May 31, 2016 at Community United Methodist Church with Rev. Cheryl Garbe officiating. Burial will follow in the Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4-8 pm Monday at the church.
