Francis Liebermann

Francis Stephen "Fritz" Liebermann, 90, of Vincennes passed away Tuesday, May 31, 2011 in Grand Rapids, Michigan. He was born August 4, 1920, in Vincennes, the son of Frank Stephen and Lorena (Frey) Liebermann.Fritz served his country in the United States Marine Corps where he was medically retired as a WW II Marine Captain, he also retired from Packaging Corporation where he was sales manager. He was a member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, as well as, Rotary, Knights of Columbus, Elks, Harmony Society and the Knox County Marine Corps League. He also served on the Board of Directors at Good Samaritan HospitalSurvivors include his daughter, Jamie Lewis and her husband Richard of Grand Rapids, MI; sister, Sally Brodhead of La Canada, CA; grandchildren, Deborah Van Oordt, Carol Lewis, Scott Liebermann, Rick Lewis, Kyndra Stewart, Stephen Liebermann and Matthew Liebermann and ten great-grandchildren.Fritz was preceded in death by his wife of 58 years, Dorothy (Mansell) Liebermann on December 13, 2003, his sons Doug and David Liebermann and his parents. He was also preceded in death by his brothers, Joseph, Robert and John Liebermann.Graveside services will be held Monday, June 6 at 11:15 a.m. at Memorial Park Cemetery with Rev. Ryan Hilderbrand officiating. Burial will follow. Friends may visit with the family from 9:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m on Monday at Goodwin Funeral Home, 524 Broadway.
