"Precious in the sight of the Lord is the death of His faithful servants." Frank W. Kehl, 84, of Vincennes, IN, passed away at his home on May 30, 2021.A loving husband and best friend for 66 years, to his surviving wife, Rita (Wilson) Kehl, whom he married September 18, 1955.Frank was a graduate of Lincoln High School. In 1955, he led the Alices to the finals of the Semi-State. He also excelled in both basketball and track. Frank qualified for the State Finals in the 110 meter hurdles, and finished 4th in the long jump. His record at Lincoln in the long jump stood for 16 years.An avid golfer, he enjoyed spending time with his golf league buddies. He also loved fishing, and his trips to Canada. Following the Colts, Pacers, and the Indiana Hoosiers was a favorite activity. Frank was a true sports fan.Known by many because of his 43 years in the automotive business, he was the co-owner of Wilson Motors Cadillac, Pontiac, and GMC Truck.Frank was a loving father to Gina White of Westfield, IN, Brent Kehl and his wife, Kim (Cardinal) Kehl, of Vincennes, IN, and Barry Kehl and his wife, Deb (Walton) Kehl; and was known as a loving grandfather by his grandchildren, Cory Kehl, Travis Kehl, Justin Jones, Shawna Jones, Morgan Jones, and Josh Kehl; and his great-grandchildren, Addelyn Kehl, Alivia Kehl, Carson Kehl, Finn Moore, Kathryn Kehl, Will Jones, Everett Kehl, and Natalie Jones. Also surviving is his sister, Erma (Kehl) Osterhage, of Tacoma, WA. Frank loved all of his extended family, and was a faithful friend to many.Born April 18, 1937, in Washington, IN, he was the son of Franklin and Nellie (LaRoche) Kehl. His parents and his sister, Jackie (Kehl) Jacobs, preceded him.Frank was a faithful disciple of Jesus Christ, and a sacrificial servant for the First Church of God. There he served on the Board of Elders, sang in the choir, and served in many other capacities. Friends may visit with Frank's family at the First Church of God on Sunday, from 2:00 - 4:00.
