Frank Yancey

Frank L. Yancey, 67, of Washington, passed away at 11:20 am Friday, January 4, 2019 at his residence.He was born February 6, 1951 in Hinton, West Virginia to Don and Mary (Young) Yancey.Frank owned and operated Yancey's VW Specialist and was a member of the Southern Indiana Volksforce. Frank played softball and served his country in the Air Force.Those surviving to cherish Frank's memory are his wife, Debbie (White) Yancey whom he married on October 15, 1977; his children, David Yancey of Washington, Jordan Yancey of Washington; a grandchild, Isaiah Mireles; a brother, Don L. Yancey of Washington; a sister, Mary Huertas of Pennsylvania; a sister in law and brother Angie Porter and her husband Mitch of Washington a niece, Denise Yancey of Washington, and nephews, Tom Yancey of Washington, Holden Porter of Washington, David Pearson, and Michael Hawkins; a great niece Adalyn Mireles, and great nephew Jackson Yancey.He was preceded in death by his parents.Funeral services will be held at 4:00 pm Sunday, January 6, 2019 with Pastor Dick Smith officiating at Goodwin-Sievers Funeral Home, 2020 State St, Washington, IN. Visitation will be held from Noon to 4 pm before the service and there will be no public burial as Frank wishes were to be cremated.
