Frankie Cain

Frankie "Joe" Cain, 77, Vincennes, passed away at 1:30 p.m. on Tuesday, May 17, 2011 at his residence. He was born September 17, 1933, in Vincennes, the son of Jonas R. and Mildred (Combs) Cain.Joe was retired from Prestolite Battery. He enjoyed fishing and gardening as well as playing cards. He spent a lot of time at his cabin playing horse shoes. He served his country in the United States Marine Corps.Survivors include his wife, Marjorie (Edwards) Cain of Vincennes, whom he married on July 17, 1953; son, Michael J. Cain and his wife Deb Reynolds of Vincennes; brother, Bobby Cain and his wife Gloria of Vincennes; grandchildren, Amber Neeley of Oblong, IL, Abbey and Jonas Cain of Lakeland, FL and Samuel Cain of Indianapolis and seven great-grandchildren.Preceding Joe in death were his parents; two sons, Robert B. Cain and James B. Cain and one brother, Larry Cain.Funeral services will be held Friday, May 20 at 10:00 a.m. at Goodwin Funeral Home, 524 Broadway St. with Robin Overbey officiating.
