Fred Bledsoe

Fred L. Bledsoe, 82, passed away at 7:50 am on July 9, 2020 at the Emerald Place in Washington, IN. Fred was born on November 24, 1937 in Linton, IN the son of Loren W. and Mildred E. Bledsoe. He married Karen (Banta) Bledsoe on January 18, 1964.Fred was a graduate of Linton Stockton High School and Indiana State University. He had been office manager for New York Life Insurance Company for thirty-seven years and was a member of Antioch Christian Church. Fred also was a Bible Study Fellowship leader, loved going on hikes in the Smoky Mountains and mowing his yard. Most importantly though, Fred loved spending time with his family and friends.Survivors include his wife, Karen Bledsoe of Washington, IN; sons, Brent Bledsoe and his wife Jennifer Michael Bledsoe and his wife Angela; grandchildren, Aaron Bledsoe and his wife Lesley, Jordan Stock and her husband Nathan, Lauren Weiss and her husband Adam, Megan Holt and her husband Zack, Kristen Bledsoe, Caitlin Bledsoe; great grandchildren, Harper Weiss, Adalyn Weiss, Kade Stock, Wrenlee Stock, Delilah Bledsoe, and sister, Linda Burns and her husband Don of Linton, IN . Fred was preceded in death by his parents and brother Larry Bledsoe.There will be a private visitation and funeral service on Saturday, July 11, 2020 at Goodwin-Sievers Funeral Home, 2020 State St., Washington, IN with Pastor Tom Watson officiating.
