Freda "Lucille" Pohmeier

Lucille T. Pohmeier, 93, passed away at 8:45 pm on May 7, 2015 at Good Samaritan Hospital. Lucille was born on December 26, 1921 in St. Francisville, IL the daughter of Nathan W. and Tressie (Hankins) Tustin. She married Walter Pohmeier on January 22, 1955 and he preceded her in death on October 9, 1994. Lucille worked at Security Bank and later Old National Bank retiring after twenty seven years as a Supervisor and Bookkeeper. She was a member of First United Methodist Church and a Red Cross volunteer. Survivors include her niece, Lynn Thornburg and her husband Paul of Alexandria, IN; two great nieces, Jennifer Garland and her husband Bryan of Brownsburg, IN and Millie Bland and her fiance Dan Zachary of Fishers, IN; four great-great nephews, Cameron Bland, Cale Bland, Bryce Garland, and Cooper Zachary; one great- great niece, Pacie Garland; cousin, Doris Selby and her husband Dave of Lawrenceville, IL and close friend, Barbara Fields of Vincennes. Lucille was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Walter, one sister, Helen (Peg) Cerden and her husband Jack, and one brother, Bill Tustin and his wife Easter. Funeral services for Lucille will be held at 2:00 pm on Tuesday, May 12, 2015 at Goodwin Funeral Home, 524 Broadway with Pastor Paul Wagner officiating, Burial will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery. Friends may visit with Lucille's family from 12:00 pm until 2:00 pm Tuesday at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to First United Methodist Church.
