Garnett Parsons

Garnett Burdett Parsons, 89, passed away at St. Charles Health Care Center in Jasper, IN on February 9, 2020 at 7:50 pm. Burdett was born on March 19, 1930 in Huron, IN the daughter of John J. and Flora (Wininger) Milligan. She married Thomas Parsons on October 13, 1956 and he preceded her in death in February of 1990.Burdett attended the Church of the Nazarene, loved to crochet and enjoyed fishing. She especially enjoyed being around and spending time with her children and grandchildren.Survivors include her children, John Parsons of Washington, Terry Parsons and his companion Deb Schneider of Montgomery, Gail Alsman and her husband J.R. of Montgomery, Keith Parsons of Washington; her siblings, brother, Harvey Milligan and his wife Jenny of Madora, IN, sisters, Wilma Eller of Washington, Dean Wilson of Washington, Brenda Bateman and her husband Bob of Washington; eight grandchildren and nine great grandchildren. Burdett was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Thomas Parsons; son, Roger Parsons; sisters, Retha Sons, Wanita Mott, Helen Milligan, Rowana Milligan, Ada Milligan; and her brothers, Ives and Clarence Milligan.Friends may visit with Burdett's family on Thursday, February 13, 2020 from 11:00 am until the hour of service time of 1:00 pm at Goodwin-Sievers Funeral Home, 2020 State St. Washington, IN. Rev. Jason Denton will officiate, and Burdett will be laid to rest next to her husband Thomas in Sugarland Memory Gardens.
