Garrett Reece

Garrett K. Reece, 89, passed away at 7:30 pm on December 14, 2019 at his residence. Garrett was born on June 10, 1930 in Tazwell, TN the son of Garrett Kemp and Viola (Smith) Reece. He married Nancy Cummins on August 10, 1996 and she preceded him in death on April 20, 2017.Garrett had worked in maintenance at Purdue University and was a member of Heritage Baptist Church. He enjoyed life, woodworking and tinkering. Garrett also loved his dogs very much.Survivors include his children, Linda Bowman, Gary Reece and his wife Kellie, Kent Reece and his wife Cathi, Edward Reece; step-children, Shelly Maurer, Paula Sanders, Raymond Cummins and his wife Tabby, Richard Cummins; seventeen grandchildren and several great grandchildren. Garrett was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Nancy, his daughter Kim Reece; his siblings, Marie Bowlin, Nathan Reece, Henerita Bunch, Crestwell Hurst and Edward Reece.Per Garrett's wishes he will be cremated and there will be no public services.
