Gayle Bledsoe, a cherished member of the Vincennes community, passed away peacefully on April 24, 2024. Born on March 28, 1941, in Vincennes, IN, Gayle was a proud graduate of St. Rose Academy class of 1959 and went on to pursue an Associate's Degree, laying the foundation for a successful career as a Security Specialist at Rockwell Boeing and Raytheon.
Throughout her life, Gayle found solace and comfort in her faith, being an active member of St. Francis Xavier and attending Mass at Sacred Heart Catholic Church and St. John's Catholic Church. Her dedication to her spiritual beliefs was reflected in her kind and compassionate nature, as she touched the hearts of all who knew her.
Above all, Gayle's greatest joy in life was her family. She was a devoted mother and mentor, always offering love, support, and guidance to those around her, always reminding friends and family to, "Be good to yourself!" Her nurturing spirit and unwavering love will be deeply missed by her family and friends.
Gayle is survived by her loving daughter, Kisha Rivello and her husband Joe of Cowen Heights, California; step children, Gretchen Lynn Spence of Upland, California, Charles Scott Bledsoe of Laguana Hills, California, and Chanen and Mike Brizuela of Scottsdale, Arizona, Jacob Ernest Bledsoe of Orange, California; grandchildren, Nicholas Rivello, Joseph Rivello, and Sean Rivello and his wife Lacey; step grandchildren, Evelyn Spence, Anna Spence, Sam Brizuela and Noah Brizuela. Gayle is preceded in death by her parents, Gaynold and Hiawatha Patria Martin and her husband Earnesst Bledsoe.
Funeral services to honor and celebrate Gayle's life will be held at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Vincennes. The visitation will take place on Wednesday, May 1, 2024 at 10:00 am until the time of Mass at 11:00 am. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Sisters of Providence of Saint Mary of the Woods.
Her presence in our lives will be dearly missed, but her memories will forever remain in our hearts. May she rest in eternal peace. Goodwin-Sievers Funeral Home is honored to be entrusted with the care of Gayle.
