Gelitha Bodley

Gelitha Bodley, 86, of Vincennes, passed away August 8, 2013, at the New Willow Manor.Born April 16, 1927, in Noxapater, Mississippi, she was the daughter of William Calvin and Creasy LouElla (Ball) Burnside They preceded her, along with two sisters and three brothers.Surviving are her children, Milton Bodley, Stanley Bodley, and Annette Bodley-O'Rourke; a brother, Simmie Burnside; a sister, Mattie (Burnside) Jones; seven grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.Gelitha was a woman of faith, who cared for people for all of her adult life. She raised three children on her own, after the death of her husband at an early age. She lived the last three years of her life in Vincennes, Indiana, under the care of her daughter, Anette. She will be missed.Friends may visit with the family on Saturday, from 2:00 - 4:00, at Goodwin Funeral Home.
