Geneva Adams

Geneva R. Adams, 85, of 3008 Lotus Lane, passed away at 1:30 pm on Sunday, March 17, 2013 at Bridgepointe Health Campus. Geneva was born on December 6, 1927 in Palestine, IL the daughter of Forrest and Golda (Harter) Turnipseed. She married Howard C. Adams on August 20, 1965.Geneva was a member of Franklin Heights Christian Church, the American Legion Auxiliary and volunteered as a Pink Lady at Good Samaritan Hospital.Survivors include her husband, Howard C. Adams of Vincennes; son, Steve Adams of Washington; daughter, Diana Fisher of Columbus, OH; son, Tim Adams and wife Victoria of Monroe, GA; grandchildren, Brock Adams and his wife Jessica, Jennifer Fisher, Lindsay Fisher, Mina Adams, Alexi Adams, Peter Adams, Nikolai Adams, great grandson Aidan Adams; brother, Gene Lackey and his wife Jackie of Tyrone, GA and cousin Rita Carol Pryor and her husband, Kenny of Robinson, IL. Geneva was preceded in death by her parents.Funeral services will be held at 1:00 pm on Friday, March 22, 2013 at Goodwin Funeral Home, 524 Broadway with John Nappo and Ron Barnes officiating. Burial will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery. Friends may visit with Geneva's family on Thursday from 5:00 until 8:00 pm at the funeral home.
