Geneva Mahoney

Geneva Ruth (Pipher) Mahoney, 94, of Merritt Island, FL., formerly of Washington, IN passed away on June 29, 2020.Geneva was born on October 6, 1925 to the late Charles Pipher and Bessie Hembree Pipher. She married Maxwell "Max" Mahoney on July 8, 1944 and they celebrated seventy-one years together. Geneva was a member of the First Baptist Church of Washington.Geneva is survived by one daughter, Peggy Howard (John Horton) of Washington, IN; two sons, Alan Mahoney (Melinda Buzz) of Hobe Sound, FL, Mark Mahoney of Merritt Island, FL; four grandchildren, Jeff Howard of Malabar, FL, Brian Howard of Jasper, IN, Anna Maxey of Indianapolis, IN, Kristina Mahoney of Cocoa, FL; eight great-grandchildren; and one great-great grandchild.A visitation will be at Goodwin-Sievers Funeral Home, 2020 State St., Washington, IN 47501 on Friday, July 10, 2020 from 11:00 am until 1:00 pm. Graveside services will follow at 1:30 pm at Oak Grove Cemetery with Yvonne Evans officiating. Geneva will be laid to rest next to her husband Max in Oak Grove Cemetery.
