Gladys Evans

Gladys Mae Evans, 85, of Vincennes, passed away at 1:30 pm Friday September 18, 2015 at the New Willow Manor.She was born November 13, 1929 in Jenkins, Kentucky to William and Lena (Wright) Lorrison.Gladys was a homemaker, had worked as a Nurses Aid at Junod's Nursing Home, and was a member of the VFW Auxiliary.Surviving are her children, Stephen (Sandy) Evans of Vincennes, Jim Evans of Vincennes, David (Nancy) Evans of Vincennes, and Deloris "Dorie"(David) Watkins of Francisco; her brothers and sisters, William Lorrison Jr. of Carmel. Joyce Norrick of Wheatland, Peggy Hemry of Terre Haute, and Shannon Tate of Memphis, TN; along with seven grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren.She was preceded in death by her parents, and her husband, Boyd Evans.Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm Wednesday, September 23, 2015 at Goodwin Funeral Home with Patrick Norrick officiating. Burial will follow in the Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be Noon until the service on Wednesday. Contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
