Gloria Ann (Branham) Lafferty, 86, passed away at 5:00 am on April 10, 2022 at Gentle Care Nursing Home facility with her family by her side. Gloria was born September 13, 1935 in Knox County and was the daughter of John and Dollie (Maynard) Branham. Gloria was a life-long registered nurse. She graduated from Good Samaritan Hospital nursing program in 1956. She worked at GSH in surgery, OB and the nursery for 24 years. She then went to Quad County Home Health Care, Gentle Care Nursing facility and then became a traveling nurse which led her travels to Alaska and Yuma, Arizona. After 53 years of nursing, Gloria hung up her stethoscope. Gloria loved to travel. Every summer the family would load up in the truck camper and travel the United States. Gloria made it to every state but Hawaii. When not working or traveling, Gloria watched her many grandkids in all their sports and activities. Gloria was preceded in death by her husband Richard Allen Lafferty. Her sister Marilyn (Susie) Mayes. Brother-in-law Robert Mayes, and a grandson Derek Ross Morgan. Survivors include her sons, Doug (Chris) Lafferty, Scott (Tammy) Lafferty, Jeff (Sheri) Lafferty, John (Anita) Lafferty; 9 Grandchildren and 24 Great-grandchildren; Eric (Meghan) Lafferty, their children, Kadie, Henry, William, Gage, and Zachary; Jennifer (Matt) Clinkenbeard, their children, Reece and Abby; Amanda (Robert) Woodworth, their children, Lake, Liam, Lowell, and Ledger; Sarah (Ryan) Bell, their children, Mason, Harvey, and Ruthie; A.J. (Sandy) Ambs, their children, Shawn, Lexi, Ryan, and Carson; Tara Morgan. Branham (Krystal) Lafferty, their children, Colton and Eva; Drew Ambs. Chandra Lafferty and Gage Murphree, their children, Samuel, Ryder, Brayden, and Asher. Her loving nephew, nieces, and cousins. Brock, Angela, Lori, Nancy, Gayle, Sheryl, Carla, and Susan. Gloria was a life-long member of Trinity, North United and Community United Methodist Church. She enjoyed singing in the choir, children's church, and youth choir directors. Gloria's family would like to thank all the staff of Gentle Care for all their dedication and care for our mother. Visitation will be conducted at Goodwin-Sievers Funeral Home, 524 Broadway Vincennes, IN. Family and friends may pay their respects Friday, April 15, 2022 from 9:00 am to 11:00 am. Gloria's funeral service will be held at 11:00 am on Friday following the visitation at Goodwin-Sievers Funeral Home with Pastor Dale Biehl officiating.
