Suzie Smith, 81, passed away June 1, 2015.Suzie had worked as a CNA at Good Samaritan Hospital for 27 years. She also enjoyed helping her daughter, Jackie, at her ceramic shop, Jackie's Place. Suzie was a member of the Cornerstone Ministries.Born Feb. 2, 1934, in Lawrenceville, IL, she was the daughter of Noah Thomas and Romance (Lynch) Campbell. Her parents; her husband, Jack W. Smith; three brothers; and four sisters, preceded her.Surviving are her children, Tom Smith and his wife, Kandi, of Vincennes, Jackie Smith of Vincennes, Rita Neu and her husband, Jerry, of Evansville, IN, and Linda Martin and her husband, John, of Mt. Vernon, IN; grandchildren, Melissa Chastain, Sara Porter, Nicholas Tapley, John W. Martin, April Emmons, Michael Clark, Paul Smith, and Catherine Thurman; and sixteen great-grandchildren.A public graveside service, conducted by her son, Rev. Tom Smith, will be held on Thursday, at 2:00, at Memorial Park Cemetery. Arrangements are being conducted by Goodwin Funeral Home.In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a charity of the donor's choice.
