Grace Shepherd

Audrey Shepherd, 84, passed away on March 13, 2012 at St. Francis Hospital in Indianapolis, IN. Audrey was born on August 26, 1927, the daughter of Clarence and Helen Marie (Barnes) Wheeler. Audrey married Robert L. Shepherd on March 3, 1946 and he preceded her in death on June 3, 1999. Audrey was a homemaker and a member of Community United Methodist Church. She was also a member of the United Methodist Women. Survivors include her daughters, Helen Ruth Moyes of Port Neches, TX; Paula Sue Wolfe and her husband, Stephen of Corydon, IN; three brothers, Prentince Wheeler of East Hampton, MA; Clarence Wheeler of Bicknell, IN; Norman Wheeler of Knoxville, TN; three grandchildren and five great grandchildren. Audrey was preceded in death by 2 sisters, Betty Nix and Lavena Edgin; one brother, Ralph Wheeler and 1 granddaughter, Melissa Dixon. Funeral services for Audrey will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Monday, March 19, 2012 at Goodwin Funeral Home, 524 Broadway, with the Rev. Cheryl Garbe officiating. Burial will follow in Oaktown Cemetery.
