Harold Evans

H. Wayne Evans, 81, of Monroe City, IN, passed away July 13, 2014, at BridgePointe Health Campus. Wayne was a farmer, and had worked in construction . He also had been a truck driver. Wayne had served in the US Army. He loved to camp and fish. Four different times he served as president of the Decker Lions Club. Born March 8, 1932, in Knox County, he was the son of William Oliver and Helenia (Cardinal) Evans. They preceded him, as well as his sisters, Ruth Figg and Wanda Evans; his brothers, Paul, Bernard, and Howard Evans; and his daughter, Sandra Evans. Surviving is his wife, Roberta Wilma Evans of Monroe City, IN; his children, Clifford (Connie) Evans of Bicknell, IN, Carolyn (Mark) Barnes of Monroe City, IN, Ed (Susan) Evans of Mooresville, IN, and Howard (Debbie) Evans of Fishers, IN; his brothers, Dale Evans of Monroe, Michigan and Max Evans; sisters, Ruby Sievers, Marjorie Ruppel, and Lois Ruppel, all of Vincennes; seven grandchildren; and 2 great-great grandchildren. The funeral service will be held on Wednesday, at 3:00, at Gardner-Brockman Funeral Home. The family will receive friends from 1:00 - 3:00 on Wednesday at the funeral home. Interment will be in Mt.
