Harold David "Dave" Wilber, 76, of Flat Rock, IL passed away in the comfort of his home on March 23, 2025, following a brief battle with pancreatic cancer. He was born in Lawrenceville, IL on April 7, 1948, to the late George and Helen (Burress) Wilber. Dave married Cindy Wilson on December 19, 1970.


In 2013, Dave retired from Gemtron after 43 years of service. He is a member of Southside Christian Church in Robinson, IL. Dave spent his life enjoying hunting, searching for Native American artifacts, tending to his yard, spending time outdoors and following his grandchildren to their different sporting events. Dave will be deeply missed.


He is preceded in death by his parents George and Helen Wilber; sisters Carolyn Raney, Betty Edgar, Naomi Hawkins, Georgia Correll, Nadine Frazier; and brother Karl Wilber.


Dave is survived by his wife of 54 years Cindy Wilber; children Shane (Heather) Wilber of Flat Rock, IL and Shanna (Chad) Guyer of West York, IL; grandchildren Shaelyn (Kody) Grzegorek of Florissant, MO, Sydney (Hayden) Carter of Charleston, IL, Garrett Guyer of West York, IL, Katelyn (Wyatt) Kennedy of Palestine, IL, Haley Guyer of White House, TN, and Chance Wilber of Rolla, MO; great-grandchildren Charles David Carter and Braylee Carter of Charleston, IL; sister Kay (Tim) Woodward of Lawrenceville, IL; brother-in-law Ken Hawkins of Flat Rock, IL and several nieces and nephews.


Visitation will be held Saturday, March 29, 2025, at 524 Broadway Street from 11 am (Indiana Time) to service time. The Funeral Service, officiated by Mark Thompson and assisted by Chris Dewitt, will begin at 2 pm (Indiana Time) with burial immediately following at Price Cemetery in Russellville, IL. Goodwin- Sievers is honored to be entrusted with the care of Dave.
