Helen Brooks

Helen Leona Brooks, 96, passed away at the New Willow Manor on Saturday, May 4, 2013 at 12:00 pm. Helen was born in Knox County on August 11, 1916 the daughter of Fred Theodore and Marguriete (Wilson) White. Helen married Otto D. Brooks on November 2, 1936 and he preceded her in death on February 22, 1981. Helen had been a beautician in Chattanooga, TN and a factory worker at the canning factory in Vincennes. She and her husband enjoyed dancing and she like to travel with her friends. Survivors include her special friends, Cheryl and Beverly Lacefield of Vincennes and Jennie McCoy of Columbus, IN. Funeral services for Helen will be at 2:00 pm on Thursday, May 9, 2013 at Gardner Brockman Funeral Home with Scott Soderling officiating. Friends may visit with Helen's family from 1:00 pm until the hour of the service at 2:00 pm. Burial will follow in Fairview Cemetery. Online condolences may be sent at www.gardnerbrockman.com.
