Helen Carson

Helen F. Carson, 95, of Vincennes, went to be with the Lord where she was reunited with her husband at 5:08 pm Monday, August 5, 2019 at Gentle Care of Vincennes.She was born on March 7, 1924 in Velpen, Indiana to Frank and Goldie (Peach) Howder.Helen was a homemaker and attended the First Church of God and the First Church of the Nazarene. Helen was a great witness of God's love. She loved her family beyond measure, as they loved her.Surviving are her children, Michael Carson and his wife Brenda of Vincennes, Charlotte Strate of Vincennes, Mark Carson of Dugger, and Trena Carson of Vincennes, a granddaughter she raised, Stacey Higgins and her husband Dave of Bedford; her sister Esther Stewart of Vincennes; along with several grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren.She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Noble "Buck" Carson who preceded her on December 24, 2006; a brother, Bud Howder; and sisters, Luella Brown, Vivian "Dee" Parker, Katie Holloway, Dixie Howder, Shirley Gray, and Fern Miles.Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am Friday at Goodwin Funeral Home with Pastor Sandy Ivers officiating. Burial will follow in the Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4-8 pm Thursday at the funeral home. Goodwin Funeral Home is honored to serve the family of Helen F. Carson.
