Helen Helderman

Helen Jean Helderman went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Wednesday, October 6, 2021 in Petersburg, Indiana at the age of 86. She was born on Monday, April 1, 1935 to the union of John Butke and Hulda Carnahan Butke in Campbell Town Indiana. Those left to cherish her memories include, 2 sisters Barbara Bolling, Ida Mae Offill, along with numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends. She is preceded in death by her husband William Helderman, 3 sisters Clara Butke, Margaret Mullins, Betty Beard, father John Butke, mother Hulda Carnahan Butke, along with other family and friends. Helen was a member of Immanuel Baptist Church in Petersburg, Indiana and loved to serve the Lord. She loved to read her bible daily, that was very important to her. She loved her family very much. Cooking, cleaning, and working in the house was her passion. She loved things neat and tidy. Graveside services celebrating the life of Helen Jean Helderman will be held on Friday, October 8, 2021 at 2:00 pm at Hamline Chapel Cemetery in Monroe City, Indiana. Officiating will be pastor Joe Roman, under the direction of Goodwin Sievers Funeral Home Vincennes, Indiana. Memorials may be made to Immanuel Baptist Church in Petersburg, Indiana in honor of her.
