Helen Hendrix

Helen L. Hendrix, 88, of Vincennes passed away Wednesday, February 13, 2013 at Colonial Assisted Living. She was born August 22, 1924 in Petersburg, Indiana to Bernard and Bernice (Wyatt) Holman.Helen was a graduate of Petersburg High School and the Terre Haute Business College. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church, a past president and member of Delta Theta Tau Sorority, the Northwest Territory Art Guild, and the Knox County Medical Auxiliary. She co chaired the Charity Balls of the KCMA for many years and especially enjoyed decorating for these annual events. She was a devoted wife, mother, and Nana, and took no greater joy being around her grandchildren. Helen was an accomplished seamstress, and also enjoyed knitting, crocheting, counted cross stitch, needlepoint and antiquing. She was best known for her painting ability
