Helen Street

Helen Marie Street, 76, Vincennes, passed away at 4:23 a.m. on Wednesday, November 23, 2011 at Good Samaritan Hospital in Vincennes. The daughter of Oliver and Amelia (Wonning) Andrews, she was born on August 10, 1935, in Vincennes. She was a graduate of Indiana Business College and worked at Gimbel Bond, before marrying James "Jim" Street on June 24, 1955. She also performed clerical duties with Street Brothers Building and Remodeling, Inc. and Lincoln Trail Carpet. Helen's hobbies included reading, visiting and eating out with friends and family, and anything that involved her children and grandchildren.She is survived by her son, Ken, and his wife, Brenda; daughter, Janice Allen and her husband, Mark; five grandchildren, Jimmy Street of Fishers, Elizabeth Street of Vincennes, Tricia Allen of Westfield and her fianc, Adam Rife, of Indianapolis, Staci Henderson and her husband, Brent, of Fishers, and Kristen Young and her husband, Kirk, of Kansas City, MO, and one great-grandchild, Camille Henderson, of Fishers.Helen was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Abigail; son, James Edward, and her husband, James.Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, November 26, at Goodwin Funeral Home, 524 Broadway St., with Pastor John Moreland officiating. Interment will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery.
