It is with great sadness that the family of Helen Pielemeier Theobald announces her death on October 8, 2020. Helen was born on June 11, 1932 to Freda King Pielemeier and Karl Ashley Pielemeier in Vincennes, Indiana.Helen graduated from Lincoln High School and received her B. S. from Purdue University and her Master's in Education from Indiana State University. She was a member of Kappa Alpha Theta at Purdue University and on the advisory board of the Theta chapter at Indiana University. For more than 20 years, Helen was a dedicated educator, teaching English at Lincoln High School and Clark Middle School. She was an active member in many organizations including the Vincennes Garden Club, where she designed many award-winning floral arrangements, the Psi Iota Xi philanthropic organization and the First United Methodist Church. Helen's passions were entertaining family and friends, including their involvement with M.A.F.I.A (Mothers and Fathers in Action) and playing bridge and mahjong with her friends. Helen and her beloved husband Ed relished their time at the Wisconsin family cottage and their winters in Florida. She was a devoted wife and mother and was adored by her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.Helen is preceded by her husband, Edward Charles Theobald and her daughter, Anne Theobald. She is survived by her sister Sara (John) Ramming, sons Edward (Elizabeth) Theobald III and Thomas Theobald, daughters Elizabeth (Tom) Young-Ford and Amy (Sean) Burke, grandchildren Will (Sue) Young, Pat (Jennifer) Young and Emily (Nicholas) Frohmader, Ed, Nina and Jack Theobald and Annie and Olivia Theobald, and great-grandchildren William and Alex Young, Collin and Lauren Young and Amber and Owen Frohmader. Memorial contributions may be made to the First United Methodist Church in Vincennes or to one's charity of choice. Helen's family would like to thank all those who showed so many kindnesses during her lifetime. In this unprecedented time, we have chosen to have a private family memorial service and look forward to celebrating Helen's life with all her friends at a later date.
