Helen Winstead

Helen K. Winstead, 72, of Owensville, IN passed away October 18, 2021. She was born May 11, 1949 in Evansville, IN to the late Melvin and Georgia Farrar. Helen met the love of her life, James Winstead, in the 7th grade after she moved from Poseyville to Owensville. They were sweethearts from that first day moving forward. Helen and James married July 12, 1968 and celebrated 53 years together. She was preceded in death by her parents. Helen is survived by her husband; son David (Stacy) Winstead; grandchild Nathan Winstead; great grandchildren Zoey and Lyla Winstead; and siblings Phyllis Whittler and Dean Grigsby. Holder's Funeral Home is honored and privileged to be entrusted with the care of Mrs. Winstead. The family has chosen to not have services at this time. Burial will be in Owensville Cemetery at a later date.
