Helen R. Wright, 82, of Lawrenceville, passed away peacefully on Monday, August 27, 2018 at her residence, surrounded by her children and family.She was born April 11, 1936 in Vincennes, to Mildred (Fields) Malott.She had worked as a bartender and earned her business degree. She retired from Hallmark in Lawrenceville. Helen was a huge Indiana University Basketball and Bobby Knight fan. She enjoyed watching sports and doing crossword puzzles. Her memberships included the Moose Auxiliary, and the American Legion Auxiliary.Surviving are her children, Vicki Osborn of Lawrenceville, Kristi Osborn of Norfolk Virginia, Debbie Wright of Bridgeport, and Michael Wright of Lawrenceville; her brothers, Rick Malott, Terry Malott, Herb Malott, Randy Malott, all of Vincennes; a sister, Cindy Faith of Vincennes; her grandchildren, Kelly Adkins, Tami Smith, and Shane Hoepker, Regina Hoke, Anthony Mendenhall, David Wright, Tina Lyden, and Kayla Wright; along with several great grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren.She was preceded in death by her parents, and a daughter, LaVaughn Osborn Hoepker.Funeral services will be held at 1:00 pm EDT Saturday, September 1st, 2018 at Goodwin Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 11:00 am until the service on Saturday. Burial will be in the Memorial Park Cemetery.
