Helen Yates

Helen R. (Catt) Yates, 94, passed away at 2:06 am on March 27, 2015 at Good Samaritan Hospital, Helen was born in Pike County, IN on August 24, 1920 the daughter of Alec and Pearl (McNeece) Catt. She married Robert M. Yates and he preceded her in death in December of 1953.Helen was a member of Decker Methodist Church and was the Post Master for the Decker Post Office for twenty five years. She also enjoyed quilting and sewing.Survivors include her daughter, Linda Bono and her husband Jim of Vincennes; son, Richard Yates of Vincennes; grandchildren, Bob Bono, Beth Bono; great grandchildren, Dustin Bono and Emily Bono. Helen was preceded in death by her brothers, Carroll (Ted) Catt, Kenneth Catt; sister, Naiomi Catt, and grandson James Bono, Jr.Graveside services will be held at 2:00 pm on Tuesday, March 31, 2015 at Fairview Cemetery with Rev. Ray Tromley officiating. There will be no visitation.
