Herbert Field

Herbert Curtis Field, 77, passed away at 2:06 am on May 13, 2023 at his residence surrounded by his loving family. Curt was born on December 22, 1945 in Vincennes and he is the son of Mabel Frances Snider and Corban Eugene Field, Sr. Curt married Bonnie Phillips on February 1, 2000. Curt was a graduate of Vincennes Lincoln High School and was a lifelong farmer. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and boating and loved teaching his children and grandchildren to tube and ski on the lake. Curt was very proud of his lake and spent every Sunday there with his family. If Curt wasn't with his family, you could always find him at Cash N Dash drinking coffee with his buddies in the morning and at his farm "the hill" in the afternoon. Survivors include his wife, Bonnie Field of Lawrenceville, IL; his daughters, Kim Aldridge and her husband Ron of Oakland City, IN, Karlene Young and her husband Dave of Lawrenceville, IL, Konni Harvey and her husband Boone of Decker Chapel, Kandy Robinson and her husband Fred of Lawrenceville, IL; step-daughters, Crystal Lewis and her husband Michael of Tampa, FL, Lisa Hartrich of Robinson, IL; his sister, Barbara Field of Vincennes, IN; his brother, Gene Field, Jr. of Wauchula, FL; sixteen grandchildren, fifteen great grandchildren; and his uncle Robert Field of Seattle, Washington. Curt is preceded in death by his parents Mabel Frances Field and Gene Field, Sr., his brother, Dan Field and his grandson Grant. Friends may visit with Curt's family from 4-7 pm on Tuesday, May 16, 2023 at Goodwin-Sievers Funeral Home, 524 Broadway, Vincennes, IN 47591. The Field family has requested memorial contributions be made to Wabash General Hospital Oncology Department. There will be no public services and Goodwin-Sievers Funeral Home is privileged and honored to be entrusted with the care of Curt and his family.
